Brief Job Description:
The team leader for Metro Ethernet / Control Plane Integration effort brings his experience in Metro Ethernet / Control Plane software integration to a team of designers building a best in class carrier grade L2 and L3 communications platform.
The selected candidate will work with a team of upto 5 designers to deliver design documentation, test specifications and validated code.
Tackles complex issues in creative ways. Provides feasibility and software sizing for features. Contributes to the development of project goals, schedules and resource planning.
Will work in a multi-national team, proactively monitoring, identifying and raising critical issues, and close them with minimal or no help from management.
Promotes and contributes to process improvement within the workgroup. Helps in creating a healthy work culture. Encourages and accepts feedback.
Must haves:
- Should have strong skills in C/C++ & Data structures
- At least 1 full lifecycles (design, implementation, test, product validation) of integration design of at least 2 different control plane stacks
- Technical expert in any of the protocols RSTP,MSTP,STP,Ethernet,EthernetOAM,LLDP ISIS, RSVP-TE, LDP, pseudo-wire, BFD, virtual routers and high availability
- Has implemented any software data forwarding modules for IP, MPLS, and Ethernet
- Has worked on QNX or BSD operating systems, for carrier grade communication products
